First opened in 1953, our official 3 star hotel has provided accommodation for over half a century. This fully air-conditioned hotel comprises a total of 300 rooms spread over 6 floors, of which 16 are wheelchair accessible. Majestic
The Hotel Majestic inaugurated in 1889 was the first hotel that built in the via Veneto. The architectural design and the modern features of the Hotel Majestic reveal its intent to stand out, from the start, as the leader in this town’s accommodation of that time. The hotel’s fame and fortune reached its peak during the Twenties, when high-society members used to choose this hotel for their stay in Rome. Artist Domenico Bruschi, from Perugia, frescoed the largest hall, located on the 1st floor, and named after musician Giuseppe Verdi, in the year 1900. Allegorical scenes depict the glory of the ancient Rome and that of the Italian royal family, La Casa Savoia. After the Sixties, the hotel became the scenery of Fellini’s “Dolce Vita” known by moviegoers all over the world. In 1990, after an accurate restoration and technical upgrades, the hotel regained all of its past splendor. The split-level lounge includes historical photographs of the Hotel Majestic, antique mirrored-glass walls, green damask seating, and a four-sided dark-wood kiosk in the centre with complimentary newspapers and antique clocks displaying the time in New York, Tokyo, London, and Sydney. The fine-dining restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and includes a garden terrace open from spring to autumn with panoramic views of Via Veneto. A lower-level garden terrace overlooking the street is also open for all meals during warm-weather months. The brasserie and piano bar is lined with autographed photographs of celebrities who have stayed at the hotel.
